The Process

The Process:

Send me photos! I work from high-quality photos provided by you in addition to Google Street View if available. I can take the photos myself, provided the location is close by.
Sketches: Once I have photos in hand, I make a sketch or two and send them to you. My sketches are very simple and used for placement and layout only. I add all the detail when I transfer it to the watercolor paper.

During the sketch phase, you can make changes. I will incorporate them and send you a revised sketch. It's important that everything is right before I start painting because it is difficult to make changes after I start. Watercolors are not forgiving!

Please note, I am happy to make any changes you deem necessary, but I am limited to two revisions; otherwise, that's a lot of extra work! There may be an extra fee for excessive changes.
Payment: Once I get the sketch the way you like it, and I will send you a link for payment with credit/debit card, etc.,
Painting: Once I receive payment, I start the final watercolor painting. I like to include you in the whole process. I will send progress pix along the way. I sometimes post progress pictures on my personal Facebook page and Instagram as well.
Pick up / Delivery: You have three options for delivery. You can pick it up at my studio in South Glastonbury, I can drop it off at your residence; or I can drop it in Priority Mail.

Additional Information:

Location: Since I work from photos, your house can be anywhere!
Time frame: My waiting list varies and can range from 2 weeks to 2 months depending on the season. If you want to be added to the list please email me. It is recommended that you send photos in advance so I have them available when I'm ready to start.

Terms & Conditions:

My waiting list is first-come, first-serve. Those of you who request a commission for a specific event such as a birthday, anniversary or Christmas, I will do my best to accommodate you.

Artwork is for personal use only. Sharing on social media is okay as long as you credit me. Do not use my artwork for commercial use unless I agree to it. Please contact me for more information

I (the artist) hold every right to the artwork, not the commissioner. I can use my work for self-promotion and novelty items such as note cards, mugs, puzzles, etc., at any time.
